Integration of unpredictable renewable power sources into the Grid is leading to the development of wide area control algorithms and smart grid. Smart meters are the first step in the building a smart consumer interface. Much more, however, would be required in building a smart grid than just smart meters. This paper explores the conceptual architecture of smart grid. It highlights the need for additional infrastructure to realize full potential of smart grid. The information presented in this paper is an attempt to uncover what the future in smart grid could be and what infrastructure would be required to tap its potential. As smart grid evolves, more functionality would be built in the constituents. The paper also proposes mathematical basis for some of the controller algorithms.
Today the technological worldrsquo;s main focus is to automate every possible thing to take advantage in providing ease in life.In the most of the well developed countries home automation is very famous and well adopted because it has several many benefits like it saves electricity and provides security.In this short paper I am also briefly going to discuss antomation but only related to the house.
Smart house is a house that uses information technology to monitor the environment,control the electric appliance and communicates wit the outer world.Smart home is a complex technology,at the same time it is developing.A smart home automation system has been developed to automatically achieve some activities performed frequently in daily life to obtain more comfortable and easier life environment.Smart home is the use of advanced computer technology, network communication technology, integrated wiring technology, in accordance with the principle of human body engineering, incorporating personality needs, will and household life on various subsystems, such as security, lighting control, curtain control, gas valve control, information appliances, linkage, floor heating, such as organically unifies in together, through network integrated intelligent control and management, implement 'people-oriented' new household life experience.

Smart home is one of the people living environment, the platform installation for housing is intelligent household system, realize the family life safer, energy efficient, intelligent, convenient and comfortable. To housing as a platform, the use of integrated wiring technology, network communication technology, smart home system design scheme of safety technology, automatic control technology, audio and video technology to integrate the household life related facilities, schedule to build efficient residential facilities and family affairs management system, improve home security, convenience, comfort, artistry, and realize environmental protection and energy saving living environment.

Smarter Homes—Components Overview
A smart meter is a gas or electricity meter that has metering as well as communication capabilities. It measures energy consumption and allows data to be read remotely and displayed on a device within the home, or transmitted securely externally. The meter can also receive information remotely, e.g. to update tariff information or switch from credit to prepayment mode [6]. Realizing the benefits of smart grid would, however, need much more than smart meters. Building smarter homes would need smarter energy controllers which also have smart metering capabilities. Smarter homes, in the parlance of the smart grid, have their appliances and sources controlled in such manner that the five objectives of the smart grid are optimally met. It is important to note the use of the term optimal otherwise the home would not be smart but expensive.
Main components
The Auto Electric House is a house whose electricity is controlled and security mechanism by computer.The whole project is consist of following different software and hardware components .i.e.,House with electricity,Security System,Bit controller card,Adapter(12V DC),Programmed Software.
3.1.1External Layer
This is the outer shown part of the house covering the house from upside like roof of the house.This part of the house has made of wood and glass.Only the security system has been planted at this layer.(See Figure 1)
3.1.2Internal Layer
This is the middle layer of the house because this layer is placed between the other two layers of the house(Deep internal and external layer).Basically this layer carrying the internal structure of the house(rooms,lobby and some other parts).The electric components,which are automatically controlled are fixed in this part of the house.(See Figure 2)
3.1.3Deep Internal Layer
This is the most important layer of the house because this contains the main hardware designed and made to control the electricity of house and provide complete security system.(See Figure 3)
3.2Security System
This is an important feature of the auto electric house.The security has been implemented on the external layer of the house and its function is to alert owner if someone disturbs the security.The security system is infrared based,when ever some disturbance occurs then it reports input to te controlling computer to perform needed actions.
